Oui oui.... We would love to show you our favo stylish seafood hangout in the Pijp: Brut de Mer! Opposite our new OU. Boutique in the Gerard Doustraat we can now easily dive into the freshest oysters and delicious wines when we need to. Whether it's a lil lunch break or a well deserved long Friday night session. Let's go. What to wear though? Sceney outfit inspiration please? Voila:
Smooth up the business talk (and okay, of course some important gossip) with our favorite dishes and wines: Start with bubbles and oysters! Get personal advice from the charming oyster boy, we prefer the soft small lightly salted Tia Maraa, but he will tell you about the daily fresh collections and opens up anything that suits your taste.
For starters we think the shrimp croquettes and the calamaris rock. Afterwards we recommend the Tartufo: Vongole, beurre blanc, fennel bread and lemon. This dish deserves a loud OU. la la!!! Lobster with fries and mayo next to it.... is always a winner. Fish lovers should really share the lovely marinated catch of the day: Côte De Poisson. There are good meat options too, but we stick to faux fur these days...
Last but SO not least, the wine advice: After the Champagne or prosecco get on with the Albarino Terra de Asorei 2015 and après dare a fuller amazing one from Germany, ja doch: the Weissburgunder Baden Bernhard Huber! Chin Chin!
For seafood in Parisian style your have to wear at least a credible beret. And of course you need a pretty bar worthy handbag. A long coat for impactful entrance cause in case the bar is full, it might help to squeeze in. And a pleated skirt for sexy bar stool coverage. Voila wine, dine & dress in the Pijp!
